Olivia Wilde and the Golden Globes 2011

                  

                                       
Many celebrities walked the Red Carpet this year for The Golden Globe awards 2011.The couture was  imaculate,from the gowns,shoes right up till the Tuxedos and suits.But this one girl stood out for me

Dressed by Marchesa in a princess chocolate brown gown Oliva Wilde strutted down the E! 's Red Carpet looking nothing less than breath taking,a breath of fresh air indeed.

And if her persona,flawless beauty and stunning couture was not enough  she revealed her golden heeled  Christian Louboutins which melted my heart.

I just thought that she was stunning on every level!

Less is More

Whilst doing a fashion and apparel Research this weekend I found myself facing this phrase several times Less is More but is it?I took myself back into time when I was only but a girl,my fashion was way over the top I must admit, (big bangles,earrings,chains,bold Make-Up Omg) *back to the present* oohhh thank goodness,boy am I glad that I had a complete 360 deg paradigm shift.

Techniques I have learned to bring it down a notch <3

*The Hair- a secret i will share with you...

I was always used to having medium hair styled in a layed angle bob teased to the max,colour Red! to the extreme *blush*

-Keep it soft and,if you are one who loves colour like i did eeekkk,its always great to keep it highlighted I prefer higher and lower lights, that way it does not put your face out there but it does bring out your features and your face* which is where the attention should go,however if you are one who loves colour then go ahead just make sure the colour complements your skin tone and again that it brings out your face and not suppress it. I have also discovered having long hair is not a crime in fact I am loving it way more!

The Make Up

Again I will admit that I am a strong lover of Blush,honestly i can not get enough of it,I am critiqued of my "red cheeks" now and again.but

* It is important to find the right foundation/powder and that it blends in with your skin type.During the day try to keep it neutral and subtle and sleek and sexy at night (your peacock look,red lips etc).
It is advised to have a great eye make up remover so that the make up particle's do not remain on your skin hence darkening the under eye area.
There it nothing worse that having blotches of foundation under dark markes and circles it only makes the darkened area grey giving the skin a two toned effect.

The Accessories

A gorgeous pair of earrings,a sassy handbag and a wrist watch and I am good to go,now how is that for bringing it down a notch?

Forever New

Its good to be back! Sorry for being m.i.a lately,my PC was struck by lightning and has been in repairs since.

I have been meaning to post about this for a while now but due to the setbacks from Mother nature, I  was not able to but I'm am so excited to share this with you.

Last month i finally took some time off and headed to Durban to spend some (long over due) quality time with family.Whilst vacationing  finally got a chance to visit Forever New which i have been keen on since i heard of the new branch,my little heart skipped a beat as soon as walked in. The fashion is feminine and so fun,however I was also intrigued by the ambiance of the store so soft and so sensual.

These pieces took my breath away literally* so i thought id share

With the New year comes Resolutions

Happy New Year To all my lovelies!

Its already six days into the new year,time as fast gone and how
It is important to me to re-evaluate my life and set new goals and resolutions
I am so excited for this year and all the possibilties and opportunities that it holds
for both me and Silk Chocolate.For some 2010 as been a tough year,but for me it as been an amazing one,
I allowed myself to dream beyond my wildest imagination and with hard work,dedication and long nights I have been able to make my dreams come true.
If there is one thing that I have learned is hard work pays of it really does.
and that there is nothing better than setting resolutions and goals for your
life because it gives u a sense of direction and purpose,so when life throws you a litte curb ball every now and then you know exactly what you striving
towards and this gives you motivation to continue:)So if you haven't set goals for this year,i encourage you to do
so you have got nothing to loose and everything to gain!

Not even a week into the new year and I already have
A good feeling about it.I am surrounded by so much love from
Family and freinds and @ this moment I feel like I am ready to
Take over the world:D lol
